Allow Me Travel the Space of Words

Allow me travel the space of words.

Measure the context of their boundaries,

Free the territories of their text.

Lend me vision of their landscapes,

Let me inspect the genealogy of their earth,

The artifacts of their generations.

As I immerse in the words of my people

And contend in the tongues of strangers,

Let me be avatar and emissary

Of their godheads and nationalities.

Words are the wounds of hurt and pain of need,

So let me speech and listening.

Let be travel the poverty of words,

Let me dwell in their slums and edifices.

Let me pursue the urgency of their want,

Or let me pause in the hunger of eyes,

Plumb the void of their sadness,

Fetch their messages of wrath and longing.

Let me be the spark of words,

Shape the air of their geometries, spell the leap

Of their fire, the laughter of their seas.

Allow me travel the space of words:

Incarnate and celebrate them into deeds—

The tumult and peace of poetry!
